Overview

Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä was founded durring the late 16th century in winter of the year 1470, by Thugrer Sru Othyr. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä is buildings are arranged arround a single narrow cobblestone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä's robustly designed timber walls has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do. On second glance, that chaos continues into adulthood. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a city, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Cultural Notes

Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

In Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä snow is warm to the touch and does not melt within city limits. Also it only happens during summer.

Leoi̋ Yű̄r Ni̋ēkēä's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves gestures to channel Illusion energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.
